Amanda Martin, Candidate for District Judge, 15th JDC - Division D

Amanda Martin was born, raised and educated in Lafayette Parish. She was inspired by a single mother, an educator, who raised five children in the community of where she now seeks the judicial seat. She is married to Darren Harden. Amanda’s life experiences motivated her to become a licensed attorney in Louisiana and Texas. As a highly experienced private practitioner, public defender and assistant attorney general, Amanda has litigated and advocated thousands of criminal and civil cases in the 15th Judicial District courts. She has always displayed a high level of compassion and passion in representing clients and the State of Louisiana; been committed to being fair and reasonable; and has served both her local and legal community with the utmost dignity, respect and professionalism.

As your next Judge, Amanda Martin is committed to being a servant of law dispensing justice with confidence and fairness. In the 15th Judicial District, she has heard the cries of the community; she has listened to the voices of the community; and she has decided in this time of the unprecedented pandemics, that the new normal is to bring about a NEW DAY FOR JUSTICE—a new change, for a new season, with a new voice.  As a successor to the Honorable Edward Rubin, during this new normal, Amanda is committed to making effective and practical decisions in the hopes of continuing to improve and impact our judicial system for all people.
